Moderate-heavy snow showers shortly before, and after, midnight gave a covering of 3cm. The rest of the night was dry and cloudy with thick fog developing by 0500. The fog persisted into this morning, but thinned for a while, and the cloud cleared at times allowing sunny intervals. Since 0930 the fog has thickened again and at the moment there is thick fog but with a few patches of blue sky visible.

Still frost on the ground and it's almost 2pm.
