Looks like there's more showers coming off the irish sea

More snow showers in the next couple of hours.... very pretty scene out.... lots of alpine plants/trees outside making it look seasonal...

I just woke up to wet surfaces and a clear sky! lol

Maybe I will see some falling snow when the next shower comes through.

Some of you lot live in a different world. Wet here but there was definitely flakes falling in amongst the rain a bit ago.

I don't know about you Crewe but it's hard to take, getting on for 5 years now without any lying snow. Happy for people, but still painful to read all the same. The usual wet here, puddles everywhere.

Its melting pretty quickly now...lovely scene to wake too...higher parts of oldham will no doubt have 2 or 3 cm :)

Do you think the cover will last on the hills all day? I don't know whether it is worth taking a drive.

Yes as suspected last night,no snow here, and looking at reports from around the region

Snow level seemed to be around the 200m line.

I'm a lot lower than that - 93m and we have a covering on the grass, bins and car. Not on the road mind you.

Think they will be wintry rather than snow unless your 300m up ..if your having a drive just try top of ripponden road oldham its not far off bypass and is about 340m ..it will be a winter wonderland up there...just google black ladd if you use sat nav :)

Looks like I got home from the night shift just in time. Sky has gone dark grey and orange and its pummelling down with huge 50p flakes.

Better than last year/ winter already.

Wish they were 50ps. Would help pay for XMAS and the gas bill.
