    Showers of sleet  early  yesterday evening, then snow by late evening but only a dusting of fresh snow as the bulk of the showers were west of here. Dry and breezy with sunny intervals at the moment, and some very icy untreated surfaces.

    Blimey...Moderate to heavy showery rain turned to sleet and wet snow overnight and through the early hours, collecting to a layer of slush and ice. Turning clear well before dawn with frost quickly  developing. Extremely icy this morning, with a layer of ice around 0.5cm thick over almost everything. Some frozen snow also. 90% cover of ice.

     

    Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 5.0∞C.

    Minimum temperature overnight -0.2∞C

    24-hour maximum 5.0∞C

    24-hour minimum -0.2∞C

    Minimum temperature on grass / Snow -1.0c Thermometer covered in ice.

    Variable cloud overnight, showery snow. Temperature up and down all night with thawing and refreezing as ground frost developed at times. The initial 5.0cm cover last night has compacted and melted down to 3.0cm, 80% cover. Clear spells so far this morning. Sunny spells through the day, cloud increasing towards dark producing light to moderate showery rain by mid evening.
