I was not expecting anything today, has something changed?
Its really very few, but can say we had snow.

Pretty much as expected, random fleeting showers anywhere really as the radar suggests..

Apologies to anyone offended last night by my comments, I won't post as much anymore as I'm unable to state the obvious in the model thread and have an opinion.

You didn’t offend anyone Jay ?. You aren’t the only one feeling like that don’t worry. Stay in here - it’s safer ??

decaying through the day as the front moves East.

As the county well practiced in the art of killing multi-cell line convection, take it from me, we will kill that front before it has chance to even think about moving eastwards...

Looking at T+72, though, the decaying front still shows off of the East coast, and  the second front has gone down across Biscay and Portugal.

Evening all, I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me a bit. I've  got really bad brain fog today ( symptons of having a mini stroke a while back) nothing is making any sense to me. So my question is what are the chances of any snow making it to my little neck of the woods? Sorry to be a pain .

Is that small secondary feature meant to cross west country or just clip Cornwall?

I think it’s going to go south rather than rotate like a clock unfortunately. But it’s not impossible to change... it’s only recently popped up to my understanding.

Someone in the MAD Fred asked the difference between fog and mist... this is my interpretation:

FOG: the way uneducated lurkers of the MAD Fred feel after trying to interpret each model run (fogsters)

MIST: The way the more arrogant posters of the MAD Fred feel after responding to “fogsters”. Can be red in colour and known more affectionately as “the red mist”

Hi nettie!

I think the most likely scenario is that you could get the odd flurry on Tuesday. I wouldn't like to go in to Thursday/Friday, it's too far ahead to be fair. Certainly some harsh frosts to come, though. I'm hoping I can beat -4.7°C this week! :)

I have a green/red and purple one in a draw somewhere. They can pop a balloon from a foot away, but you can get more powerful ones for around £300. They'll set fire to anything! Illegal to buy over here, but you can order them from the states.
Funnily enough, I have bought another torch to go with my collection.. https://www.banggood.com/Astrolux-MF-01-18x-XP-G3Nichia-219C-12000LM-Super-Bright-LED-Flashlight-18650-p-1165131.html?cur_warehouse=CN

That's a bargain for how much light it emits. :)

Funny when you ask a genuine question in the Mod thread you don’t get an answer..

Anyone in here know?

this chart suggests a :db: qtr is not appearing. But is this just the result of an operational run that has just rolled out and hasn’t smelt the coffee yet? Or is it gathered from separate data?

TIA

Sorry if I’m straying off topic

Evening all. Lovely sunny afternoon here not that I saw it from inside the pub watching the ruggers.

Obviouly linked to the Pub I have a pang of hope for Tuesday. The old weather app still says snow here for 5 hours.

Hope is a bugger when it comes to snow!

Nice one fromey! Exactly what I was trying to say in Mod thread. The fact Ian is clearly excited by it in his comments speaks volumes!

I love this. Many moons ago I made a light hearted comment (silly me) along the lines that nature was a better long range forecaster than their t+762 runs. It didn't go down well.

Thanks for your reply Mapantz . I'm certainly not getting my hopes up or trying not to anyway. Like most of us in here we just want to see snow

falling past the lamp post let alone playing in it.
