A clear start to last night but low cloud, intermittent light drizzle and fog rolled in from the North Sea during the early hours and it's been foggy since then. Dry, breezy and foggy at the moment.

Yesterday.

Showers cleared last evening leaving a rather cloudy and misty night. Low cloud this morning, quite misty. Cloud thinning allowing brighter spells towards observation. The sun finally broke through towards lunch time, the afternoon turned very warm in long sunny periods.

Sun did make a break through in the afternoon however much more cloud around and sunny spells were short. No cloudy again as the north sea cloud quickly returns.

We had a few very brief sunny spells earlier but it didn't last long - now totally cloudy and 17C.

Cloudy and dry this morning, light showers from midday onwards turning into a spell of heavy rain by around 4pm. Maximum 17.6, minimum 14.2. Wind light N.

Currently 15.4oC, was a dry morning but at half 12 it began to rain.

By 1pm it was pouring and didn't stop until around 4pm

Local Wunderground stations are reporting in excess of 40mm although debatable how accurate they are.

Was some of the worst flooding I have seen in my area by the end of the storm and many roads were impassable.

I live in Hertfordshire.

Thick fog at first, clearing by 0830 g.m.t but leaving a dry and cloudy morning. The cloud broke and dipersed early in the afternoon and it became warm with sunny periods until further cloud rolled in from the north east around 1630 g.m.t
