I'm assuming that @Ryukai is having the time of his life rn as the storm is directly above Norton?

Some big flashes on this moving webcam when it faces towards Leek

It's rather funny to be looking at that winking Web Cam on the post and to correspond the flashes with the ones here above me with the booming thunder!

What a cracking storm here, I got caught in the start of it thinking it would be a few rumbles but it's turning into a monster evening.

Looks like whoever is in charge of the webcam stopped it moving around and left the camera facing the storm

Hope it makes it to Chesterfield

Is this thing back building overhead? You think it's gone and then it goes mental again

One thing is that it is definitely slow moving and the heat island of the city must add to it

Dark skies to the SW here but that storm is too far away to see any flashes

Oh hells, yes I was! Bedroom windows wide open and leaning out watching it pass overhead

Most of the strikes were either out of my line of sight or internal, but there were a few I saw arching out and back into the cloud base. It's moved past now, but can still hear fairly loud and clear rumbles coming from it despite it now being over Leek.  I have my fingers crossed that it won't be the only one of the year

Just had a great CG out of nowhere again...seems it doesn't wanna die just yet. You can see it on the Winking Man website really well.

Pretty sure there is something wrong with the lightning detectors too near that cell - One minute there were loads of strikes, the next minute there was one, the minute after there was loads, and the minute after that there was one strike.

That Cg must have been positive despite being further away as I could feel the ground shake from the rumble

Can confirm as it's been very consistent with the strikes from what I've seen. Still can see the flashes right now as I type and distant rumbles as it's over leek way
