Clear and very cold overnight, widespread penetrating frost in a continued force 3 north wind. Sunny and cold this morning.

Mainly cloudy overnight, a little showery rain. Turning much colder towards dawn with light snow showers. At observation, sunny spells, also light snow showers. Odd light snow shower shortly after mid morning, staying dry for the rest of the day with good sunny spells, though continuing to feel cold.

A dry, mainly clear and cold night, the coldest April night since 2008 and the 4th coldest in the last 44 years. The grass min' was the lowest in April since 1978.  An almost cloudless start to the morning but Cu humilis have developed since 0900 g.m.t.

A frosty start.Mainly dry with good sunny spells ,the odd snow flurry and some heavier snow showers in the afternoon but not sticking except on the tops
