Grace is quite poorly organised at present and following a similar direction to Fred would result in its demise. However with a much stronger ridge to the North, all of a sudden the chatter of interest is rising.

Grace has now more or less slipped south of Haiti albeit at TD strength. Now forecast to hit the Yukatan so worth watching.

Grace reformed a center south of Haiti and has begun to slowly strengthen (passing the north coast of Jamaica now). Center is still broad but once free of Jamaica she is expected to strengthen headed for the Yukatan and a broad center suggests she may become quite large.

Grace approaching landfall now, pressure down to 986mb and strengthening but the system is quite large and so winds are not really responding yet at only 80mph.

Interesting to see in the lower timelapse how it strengthened overland again so quickly. Usually see the active hurricanes peter out as they cross the Yucatan, but either this one had superior strength OR a decent feed of moisture OR a good tail wind causing to clear the peninsula very quickly and enabling it to strengthen again so quickly
