Cleared 20cm off of driveway earlier but after a pause the snow is back on again.

 

 

Luckily my school made the sensible decision to close to the staff, especially as there were going to be no pupils in anyway due to the strike (I'd have been in, different union).

Heavy snow on with nice big flakes and laying quickly. Thankfully I am off today and watching from the comfort of a warm home.

Pretty light stuff here but settling nicely. Suspect it'll not last as the radar isn't great. Further west than here could do much better though! Nice to see! Had plenty of December's without so much as a dusting

Looks like the milder dew points failed to make the inroads many models were obviously forecasting.

Child screams "massive flakes if snaw".... dad looks out the window and yep big flakes of snaw falling.. if it snawed like this for a week i could scrape a dusting... i can see each individual flake that has hit the patio and they are not melting at all...❄❄❄❄

It looks a tad snowy on the Edinburgh bypass too... It's nice to see all of the snow photos, I'm not expecting much over the next week here but maybe we'll get lucky!  Possibly some flurries this morning which is funny since the models showed this about a week ago and then dropped it over the last few days.

Any more snow events forecast for the Glasgow area in the next day or so? 

There are flurries now in the Glasgow area. I am a little north of Glasgow though not much. 

Penicuik said good chance of snow in Glasgow this morning and he was right.
