    Snow showers yesterday evening gave a covering of 3cm by midnight and the snow cover has lasted all night. Clearing skies during the early hours allowed a slight air frost and it was briefly sunny after sunrise before cloud thickened rapidly from the west to bring light snow by 0840.

    24 hr min; -0.5c

    Grass ( snow ) min ; -1.7c

    Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900; 8.1 mm

     Mean wind speed; 23 mph SW

    Intermittent light snow.

    Turning manly clear last evening and the wind slowly moderated through the night. Ground frost forming towards midnight. Dawning clear with ground frost. A layer of Altostratus quickly moved in from the west with light rain setting in soon after mid morning.

    Mostly cloudy overnight, moderate rain through the early hours. A clearance arriving around dawn, westerly wind increasing to strong. Sunny spells this morning, wind falling light for a short while around 08:30, then increasing again from the west strong mid morning. Showers in the vicinity. Very windy throughout, frequent gusts past gale force, also squally showers, odd brighter spell.

    A cold and overcast day with heavy rain arriving just before midday which eventually turned to snow and gave a dusting. There's now a slow thaw with thick fog rolling in half an hour ago.

    Currently 0.6C after a max of 4.8C, the lowest of the month so far.

    A spell of heavy snow from around 1115 until 1230 gave a fresh cover of almost 4cm. The snow was followed by a rise in temperature with sleet and a steady thaw but by late afternoon the cloud was clearing and the snow surface froze.
