June and July 2013: Maximum CET

Looking at the new updated CET records I noticed just how dramatic the change in maximum CET was from June to July 2013, a massive 6°C difference!

June: 18.0°C

July: 24.0°C

Can't think of many other years where we had such a large rise in maximum CET from June to July.

EDIT: 1983 had a larger increase, from 18.6°C in June to 24.9°C in July (6.3°C increase).

yep good old 1983..a much forgotten summer..in my book is up there with 1995 & 1976 and the stats tend to back this up..but often 2006 & 2003..even 1990 & 1989 are mentioned in lists of good summers before 1983 comes up
