OK..... im conflicted here, as i dont understand why there are seemingly 2 528 DAM lines... on the ops i get that those colour coded values equate to metres asl in tens.... so 528 = 5280 metres.
But on the cloud cover chart the 528 dam line doesnt match the 528 on the height chart. Now ive read about it, but still doesnt get it.. im probably over thinking it and my old brain hasnt the capacity for understanding information the way young Eagle Eye can! (credit to him)
So in simplistic terms... whats the difference or why the difference ?

It's 2 different things you're looking at there. The cloudcover chart on the right is showing the 500-1000hpa thickness - so the lowest point it's measuring is 1000hpa. The 500hpa chart on the left th
