Flood risk for Iceland over the next 48hr (20-21 Jan)

Looks like Iceland could see some potentially hazardous conditions over the next 2 days and not due to the typical snow/blizzards but as a result of glacial & snowmelt flooding due to unusually high temperatures in the country for this time of year.

There’s a lot of flood expected all over Iceland, along with risk of avalanches from mountains and other snow and rain and water related floods. Travelling might get risky or impossible because of flooding and melting snow.

A little blip of mild though, blink and you will miss it! In the deep freeze most of the time, with it turning intensely cold next weekend.....😨
