    After a cold start late evening with a slight ground frost and a low of 3.2 C, cloud came over, the temperature rose, it's now on 7.4 C

    Temperature fell overnight in still air here  to +0.1°C at 6am despite almost complete cloud cover.

    A dry and clear start to last night with a ground frost. It was cloudy by late evening and remained cloudy and dry for the rest of the night. A few sunny intervals early this morning but from 0845 it quickly clouded over with intermittent light drizzle moving in from the north.

    Clear spells allowed for a widespread slight frost last night. Cloud increased around midnight bringing a steady rise in temperature and the frost lifted. Dry cloudy and quite mild this morning.

    After a shower in the morning which didn't disturb the rain gauge the afternoon has seen sunny spells and isolated light showers. Another very mild day.

    A little drizzle or a few spots of light rain during the morning but it was dry by 1130 and the rest of the day was dry with sunny intervals.

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average.
