Yesterday's showers died out before sunset to leave a dry night with clearing cloud. Clear and sunny so far this morning but the first signs of increasing Ci on the south western horizon.

Sunny spells developing late morning, also showers these heavy towards midday with a rumble or 2 of thunder. Windy. The afternoon much the same, though showers turning lighter.

Periods of rain and a southerly gale yesterday evening with a maximum gust of 62 mph. The rain cleared after midnight, the wind decreased, and the cloud dispersed to allow a clear and sunny start to this morning. Clouding over rapidly since 0700 g.m.t but so far it's stayed dry.

It is now mid-april and temperatures are hovering around 6C with another band of rain pushing through. The UK must be the only place in the world where you wouldn't know if it was November or April.

Moderate rain and windy conditions cleared before midnight, clear spells following. A touch of ground frost forming though the early hours. A clear start this morning, cloud bubbling up quickly. Mostly cloudy by the end of the morning, showers scattered, turning windy again.
