Global Weather Extremes - Updated List

Hi all,

 

Have heard bits and pieces about some temperature extremes in various parts of the world and am trying to source a list showing global extremes in real/near to real time as it is really difficult to keep track with news items and forum posts.

So am wondering if anyone here knows of something that exists? 

For instance, a list showing global high/lows for temperature, precipitation, pressure, wind strength, etc and shows those values against records for the respective area.

As an example, Vietnam had its highest every temperature, as I'm confident everyone here knows. But for me, unless i see a headline telling me its the highest ever, i won't know without delving into it whether that is a usual temperature or not for that area. It becomes more difficult to monitor as we extend to all countries and regions of the world.

With the Asian heatwave and strange weather elsewhere, I'd find a rolling list of this kind of information very informative.

Does such a thing exist?
