Remember this thunderstorm that hit my area, really well.  It was a good one that started about 8.10pm and ended about 10.05pm on the Friday evening of the 8th October 1993. Plenty of flashes,loud bangs and the fact that it lasted almost two hours. Can't believe its 30 years ago now.

A number of areas were hit by what looks like a trough of thunderstorms pushing up from the SSW

The 1990s were a great decade for lovers of thunderstorms
