Cyclone Tej

One of the more unusual areas for cyclone formation, although not unheard of. Most usually travel into the African continent, however, Tej is just about to hit one of the driest countries on earth,Yemen, and deposit 400mm of rain when it stalls over the country.

Model predictions range from 650mm (GFS) to 1800mm (Australian model) in an area with an average annual rainfall of 50mm.
