A  clear start to the night followed by a spell of thick fog during the early hours which cleared around 0300 as a brief moderate snow shower moved through from the north. Variable amounts of cloud earlier this morning but this has cleared and it's now dry and sunny.

Clear sky and dry with current low at -2.2 C;

Last evening around 2230 a light snow shower covered the ground, less than 1 cm, but a white start to this morning

Fog returns after a very cold day, only about 3 or 4 hours above zero C, now -0.4 C in thick fog after a max of 0.6 C

Dry and a bit mist at dawn, very cold with a low of -4.4C, the 2nd coldest night this year; yesterday was the coldest day of the year with a max of 0.6 C; only 1 night in the past 8 without at least a ground frost.

A sunny day with with simultaneous fog from 0930 which made brief incursions to this altitude during mid morning and again later this afternoon. The temperature just scraped above 0c before the first spell of thick fog but fell to around -2.5c during it and never recovered.

Down to -7C last night which was the coldest since last December. Misty at first then a period of snow giving about 2 to 3cms followed by light snow shs dying out pm. Max of -1.5C so first ice day of the season.
