Plenty of sunshine this morning which is rare compared to recent weeks

Rather cold with it given the north westerly wind

A clear start to last night but cloud increased towards midnight and eventually brought light snow showers between about 0500 and 0900. Dry with sunny intervals since the snow showers cleared.

A light snow flurry around 0100 but the rest of the night was dry. The cloud has cleared to the south /south east since 0700 but has stuck there preventing any sunshine so far this morning.
