When do you change preferences from cold to warm (if at all)?

Mid May is when I feel warm weather is right... by warm I mean mid 20s.. the sun by mid May is every bit as strong as late July and it can with such temps feel every bit as hot as high summer.

Not a fan of early heat in April, always think its a bad omen for summer think 1987, 2007, 2011 and 2017.. but not always 2018 a case in point.

 damianslaw I always see heat in mid to late April as being a good sign for summer. I'm referring to shorter spells rather than homogenously warm Aprils like 2007, 2011, 2020.

2018 and 2003 are the 2 obvious ones. I think a lot of the classic summers do often follow an early hot spell (often short) between mid April and mid May. 1995 (early May), 2003 (mid April), 2006 (early May) and 2018 (mid April) all stand out.
