Yesterday.

 

Clear spells overnight, widespread frost and freezing fog forming. Frost and thick freezing fog this morning. The fog thickened through the morning with less than 50 yards visibility at times, cold also with only 3c by noon. By early afternoon the fog lifted to allow sunny spells and temperatures climbed quickly to the mild category for the rest of the day.

A dry night with long clear periods but also a couple of hours of thick fog during the early hours ( between about 0200 and 0400 ). Dry and sunny since sunrise but with valley fog.

A dry dull start, current temperature is 4.1 C but the lowest since midnight was 0.4 C so maybe a touch of ground frost in the early hours before the N Sea cloud came in
