An intense patch of rain has just developed in the channel off Eastbourne and is making its way inland in the south westerlies tracking up to Maidstone, so anyithng in that path will get a soaking; we have had 4mm in under an hour.

It's now coalescing into an active band that will sweep over most of Kent.

Snow tyre is it not pivoting on the coastline, and not making any real progress in land? At least thats how it looks to me. Those heavy showers are pulling south too I think. Locally, I might actually miss them. Phew!

Yes, the northwesterly flow over London is now reaching the south coast and starting to rotate it.

looking at the radar and that small band of rain at the coast reminds me of summer when we had those morning thunderstorms that after they went through it became a beautiful sunny day

One of those moments where it's raining a bit, but absolutely nothing even close showing up on the radar.

This is intresting ,small changes in ocean connection to atmosphere is as we know is as inportant as strat differerences but over slightly different time ,as in other than satellites the oceans are pretty sparse on data ...this a specific or is it pacific lol ,not sure as its a big expanse...

We don’t necessarily have a high-enough resolution to be able to model specific things,” she added, explaining that the dynamic nature of the ocean – and how easily small shifts can create big changes in the models – pose predictive challenges....and keep on our topic 0c and ground frost ,nothing like this time 3 years Ago ..12th feb 2021

My bus commute this morning was like being in a fridge. It was warmer outside then on the bus.

and when i say 'warmer' it was still pretty chilly at about 3C when i left home.
