Had to laugh at the home page and scene of deep frost and rime 'Polar Air Mass bringing a drop in temperature' headline - the reality is particularly for us down south is probable cloud, damp/rain (cold version 2.0) and if we're lucky a bit of a frost (the 1st one this month).

I think that's NW pushing the boat out  a bit on that...saying that they could on my back lawn currently.

Absolutely vile. Been absolutely non stop all day. And to top it off I apparently have a hole in boot so been walking around with a soggy foot all day.

Froze were the Days Yes the home page is officially cringe. Polar Airmass???? WHAT.

Its almost as bad as a 2 week dry spell in the middle of summer declaring a drought. This country has to be one of the most OTT weather event publications going.....

Any thoughts on Sunday yet for the London area? I'm doing the Winter 10K and most forecasts seems to be going towards it being dry if cool in the morning, but I've noticed the local ITV weather seem keen to sweep in some low pressure and rain.

Just checking in to see if everyone is ok?

Spent the day under the bed here in South West London after the weather warning of 50 mph winds. Doesn't look like much damage. The bin is still upright and the dog is not too bothered.

Absolutely horrible cycle home this afternoon. Coat held out as did the waterproofs admittedly. But the amount of surface water and rainfall at the time, plus the water logged shoes and socks wasn't the nicest. Hoping for lovely dry weather soon or I'll grow gills
