  1. Just put the bins out & it's still raining here, at least the rain didn't get rid of our laying snow, that was gone by the weekend anyway
  2. Ah so not in Portsmouth at all then lol Me too, you are not alone in your rainy misery
  3. Rain now turned to sleet here in Southsea & temperature has dropped too, now 2.9C
  4. Rain getting heavier here now, no sleetiness at all.Temperature 3.8C with a dew point of 3.4C. I could smell that gassy smell here earlier but though the tide was out in Langstone Harbour
  5. Still raining in soggy Southsea, but at least the temperature has plummeted, down to a bone chilling 4C now
  6. Raining here & 4.5C on the Costa Del Solent, if we had any lying snow left it would be gone soon
  7. Well shows what having no snow cover (& being by the sea) does, it's 0.7C with a dew point of -0.9C here when locally other weather stations are reporting -2C to -5C!
  8. Temperature is 2.5C here & stayed above freezing last night, no sunshine here & it was raining lightly earlier
  9. Had a nice bonus dusting of snow this morning, shame it didn't last as the sun came out & melted it, but looks like we may have another couple of shots of more snow before the cold snap ends The sun raised the temperature to 2C today after a low of 0C & it is 1C still here as there is cloud cover at the moment.
  10. Well the almost inch of snow we had was practically all gone by this morning thanks to an above freezing night & some light rain, then the rest melted as the day went on with a high of 2C. Went up to Horndean earlier though & still all their snow up there, was well jel!
  11. Yes we were out & about earlier & much more snow just north of Portsmouth, the A3 near Waterlooville was at a standstill. The seafront in Southsea had hardly any snow, just a slushy dusting.
  12. Well the south coast snow shield failed today? Heavy snow this morning, though it did turn sleety in lighter bursts & ended up raining this afternoon. Only had about 1inch & because of proximity to the sea it was quite slushy wet snow that has already been melting, but first snow here for 2 years so very happy Temperature is now 2.1C with a dew point of 1.2C & can hear a steady drip drip.
  13. Really hope we see snow on the extreme coast tomorrow but only had some light drizzly rain this morning Was -1C again last night & is 3.5C at the moment with a dp of 1.4C
  14. Chilly old start here this morning & first sub zero temperature of the season with a min of -1C 3.5C currently but Met Office forecast shows sleet now here on Friday
  15. Well still waiting for the cold snap to start here, min of 3C last night & 6C currently
  16. Well it didn't snow in Southsea as expected, woke up at 5am to see it raining, though northern parts of Portsmouth had a light dusting as did Hayling Island! Still raining now & 5.5C after a low of 2C.
  17. 3.0C here with a dp of 0.1C, come on drop drop!!
