    Clouds are looking pretty turbulent around here I have to say! Currently raining with a bit of small hail mixed in.

    Round 2 sounds good' Paul! Although I think I've had enough luck for the year now In the last hour there's been some torrential rain. No T&L unfortunately. Happened to be on a driving lesson too so it was nice to get some practice and drive through some of the flooded roads!

    look to your south, towards ware way. Can't miss it! WOW the lightnings lighting up the anvil to my south, frequently too!

    Storm that was heading for me has died a death, lightning still to the south east. Still nice to see all this lightning so early in the season, though!!

    Very bright flash just now, two distinct areas of lightning. The cell over braintree and the cell over chelmsford which is more frequently discharging,

    Yep! Cell further to the south east now seems more potent.

    Fantastic light show to the east, albeit not very frequent. Looks to be getting closer too. First night time lightning I've seen in a long time, even if it is a long way away aha!

    Wow! I can see the lightning over harwich from here 77 miles away! It's lighting up the anvil.

    Looks like the activity over northern France is intensifying and also over eastern France/Belgium there's some good returns on the radar.

    Looks to be some altocumulus passing over, nice mackerel pattern in the sky. Don't won't to be too optimistic about tonights prospects, but it looks quite good for those on the south coast!

    Unexpected thunderstorm passed through quickly at about 2.30 this afternoon. One very close discharge with booming thunder and another more distant discharge. Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day, although I doubt it as I'm not stuck in a classroom or at work.

    Nice shelf could with a lot of scud just to my NW, don't think it's going to come to anything though. Seems to be decaying.

    One flash and rumble whilst I was at work, about 6pm. Then when I was at the bus stop another, (what looked to be a CG) to my east. Doesn't look to be any more activity this evening but tomorrow looks good for a few storms!

    Small cell just approaching now and beyond that a larger one. Just hoping they don't decay before they reach me.

    Well that was a letdown, moderate rain from a cell that was producing lightning to my SW. However, just as I type now there's a rumble of thunder, not sure what direction its from though!

    Looking really good to my west and south west. sharp convection and wonderfully dark bases.

    Lovely convection all around here. Had a couple of light hail showers pass through and there are some more substantial cells to my SW that look to give me a direct hit.
