What's the doom and gloom about? There could be a frost or two in the next week or so - something to look forward to...
Will at least see a bit of ice from the waterlogged fields freezing over maybe...
Ah who am I kidding? Since mid December it's been pretty lousy fare here..cold rain don't cut it.

Northern Wales looks dry now. Some will get snow..some are going to get quite a bit of rain.
-
Warning area shunted south. Move on, nothing to see here.

Met office app shows my area having a dry day and a dry night to follow. Expect warning area to be shifted some way south before long.

Lots of unnecessary panic it would seem. So we're about to see some 'weather' next week, a lot more interesting than what we have now. Yes it looks autumnal rather than wintry but with a south-diving jet and a PV on timer, it won't be long I don't think until something seasonal turns up. I'd dare say the mildies make the most of the run up to Christmas as temperatures will take a tumble back to the seasonal norm or slightly below next week.
One man's meat is another man's poison. Sorry but I for one fail to find any interest whatsoever in repeated episodes of high winds which bring such dubious delights as power cuts and damage to property along with heavy rains which bring at best mud and water logging, flooding at worst.

Rain and wind...muck and mud. What joy. Will do my SAD symptoms a power of good...NOT. Can't wait to start the fretting about how much hard earned I'll be having to fork out on fence panels.
How many weeks of winter will be trashed by this upcoming oh so delightful spell of zonality I wonder? Will we be witnessing the long held traditional posting of wintry charts at day 10 which keep getting pushed back and back until suddenly the days are notably longer and March is upon us?

Above 5°C now here, probably won’t go below that again for a week or two. Oh well.
A week or two? Bit optimistic no? No guarantee of course but mild muck does have a nasty habit of locking in for weeks on end, then before you know it, March is fast approaching - the days are noticeably longer and another winter has been tossed into the bin marked "fail"

Firstly yeah i'm aware the problem i have with Wales regional is that they are all from the south of Wales and very few members from the North post in there anyway maybe around 30-40 from the South and 5 in the North say i wonder whether they should divide it up perhaps. Secondly i recollect that a few of the other members in here class my area as kind of in the North West anyway i am like 5 miles from the border anyway! .Also my post was to demonstrate how marginal this is because by the sounds of it go another 20 miles north of here and you have around half of the snow cover. Also i won't be a grammar nazi and point out your slight spelling mistakes there
To avoid argument they should really have a North Wales thread and a separate one for the damn Taffies down south. Makes no sense to have to share the same thread as people over 130 miles away!

Sledges in me car and we're ready for the horseshoe pass
Horseshoe pass MIGHT be closed. It was closed Friday when we had less snow on the ground than right now.

Haha are they for real, has madden taken over that paper or something!
Madden! I really wish someone would give that snow obsessed bedsit dwelling stamp collecting train spotting numpty a boot up the Arsenal every time he puts one of his fauxcasts out which turn out to be wrong.
Stopped clock is more accurate than that clown.

Well if you class Wrexham as North West then i'll post this in here i guess... still going strong here been snowing for the last 10-15 minutes some pretty big blobs out there now and been pretty gusty at times so it looks like a blizzard half the time.
You're no Taffy that's for sure. You're a Gog (for the benefit of the North West England guys, translates basically as Northerner) You're spitting distance from the border, so you're better off posting in the near neighbours thread than in the thread populated by them lot way on down South.

That is all you can say? I posted it there as well and explained before to the mods that sometimes I post here - they did not have any issue. The weather don't know borders. I am still in the NW (even if in forecasts you never know what NW means -NW Scotland, Wales, England or NI)... ?
If I can put my twopenneth in? The Welsh thread might as well be the South Welsh thread..completely monopolised by people from Cardiff, Swansea and the Valleys. Places over 4 hours drive away from me. Whereas the Cheshire border is just 6 miles away. I feel a damn sight more affinity with North West England than I do with Taffy South Wales.
In summary, people in North Wales (especially the North East) have as much in common with the Taffies down South as you guys have with Londoners..very little/none.

Bit gloomy in the SE thread (couldn't resist having a peek).
Talk of 2-3 inches of rain, flooding and wind damage.
I'll take the dumping of snow anyday over that grotty crud.
P.S Stop laughing at our SE friends...smirk...arf...chortle...

Thundersnow reported in Vale of Clwyd, North Wales. Cheshire Gap streamer really doing the business here.

Starting to snow again, the sky is VERY dark. If this was summer I'd be half expecting to hear thunder.

I'm complaining, I hate cutting grass when it's lush and green.
much prefer it dry, brown and hardly growing.
as for the rain, we ended up with very little considering the forecast and now it's trying to brighten up again.
Centimetre of snow lying with some pretty heavy precipitation coming in fast from the North West.

Showers now of snow but zipping through too damn quick

Diane does not like snow. I remember hearing of her (apparently) being pelted with snowballs one evening during the winter of 1995/96. Ever since then she's been a real mild ramper

Can't say I am overly surprised at the turn of events...
Disappointed? Not really...just a sense of resigned acceptance.
When will people start learning to stop getting so overexcited at day 10 jam tomorrow charts?
Treat Jam Tomorrow charts with scepticism and cynicism and you won't go wrong.
