  1. Well with a temp of 4.2c I can bet it will be rain here, will wait till it comes then see if I have time to drive to the bwlch to get my snow fix!
  2. Temp still 3.4c here which will rise once the sun rises, my snow dome is in full effect!
  3. Rain, 7.4C, hope those temps do drop quite quick when the back of the front comes through!
  4. Yeah I think this is a bit of a none event for this of us in the south/low ground this week. We will most likely have to wait for the next bit at the cherry for anything down here, but I might take a drive up the Bwlch as there's likely to be some snowfall up there and take that as my chance to see some this winter!
  5. Well not expecting anything down here now, esp with day temps of 4-7c predicted all week for my area, shame but hopefully something good will come up and be more successful after this spell!
  6. Well it is exciting the prospect of seeing some snow at some point in the next week, as long as it doesn't fall when I'm in work down Barry as there's almost no chance I'll see any then roll on the beast and next week if it happens!
  7. ^^Can we bin that chart from an imby point of view, my snow shield is in effect and I don't like it
  8. I never like those charts, I'm always just on the border between snow and rain or a bit far south and near the coast and in the rain one day I'll be in the sweet spot for snow!
  9. I must admit I'm very hesitant over any upcoming spell in the next 10 days or so away from high ground and the North. I'm still hoping between 21st-25th onwards we will start to see some good progression towards some sharper, prolonged cold and snow for us in low land South!
  10. I'm looking forward to the weekend as I have 6 days of work starting Saturday and it brings us closer to knowing what will happen with all this cold and will it/won't it. Plus when I go back to work on 18th it means we'll know roughly what to start to expect in that much talked about 'last third of jan'. I just hope we have an amazing few weeks coming up, though I fully expect the opposite for now just incase
  11. Only on about 3 days a year. We like the cloud here, keeps the dragons hidden. After all the rain and drizzle we've had of late, really need this dry weather now before any snow, then hopefully a few days of proper cold first to freeze the ground, then a blizzard or two. Is that asking for too much?
  12. Well I'm back in wonderful Wales. Had a brilliant time in New York, was freezing there though. Even had a few snowflakes on the drive through Queens to the Airport yesterday! It's quiet in here though considering the potential for colder weather being discussed, are we destined to miss the snow?
  13. Well I'm off to New York tomorrow morning, leaving my fellow welshies for a week, will be back Sunday. Looks cool/cold but dry for me whilst I'm out there which will be great to get everything I want done. I hope to come back to some good new for us next weekend! I'll try and bring some cold and snow back with me
  14. Only a week now till I'll be out in Manhattan, New York, will be there from next Monday for 5 nights. I hope they haven't had all the snow by then and left me with just rain hope for a few cold days whilst I'm out there!
  15. Whilst it would be nice to see an early snowfall, I would settle for some early cold wintery days with clear sunshine and that crisp frosty atmosphere to set things up going forward. I'm a bit hopeful of seeing some snow in Manhattan/New York in 2 weeks when I'm there, but knowing my luck it'll be pouring down Lets just hope that these first and early signs of cold even if they don't come off first or even second time will bode will for us through the winter as a whole!
  16. Good to see they have snow already, just hope they have some when I'm there in 3 weeks
  17. Hey guys, I'm off to Manhatten for 5 nights first week December. I know it's a long way off weather wise but anyone know what the weather is generally like this time of year out there?
  18. Been nice to have the first few mornings of the season below freezing with a proper frost I'm off to New York, staying in Time Square the first week of December so I'm hoping if we don't get any snow here I'll get some cold and snow out there!
  19. I think it was one of the best summer's I could have hoped for, 2 months of it being 27-30c almost every day with pure sunshine, virtually no rain bar the odd shower. A bit too hot when in work, but nice when at home. Then August gave us a relief with some needed cool and wetter weather. Would have a repeat of that next year please! The only thing I would ask for is some more thunderstorms as I haven't seen any
  20. Just watching the edge of a thunderstorm a few miles to the north of me over Maesteg moving a away, caught a flashes over the clouds but no direct lightning, the thunder is constant however coming from it, sounds like an intense little storm, wish I had gone out for a drive up that way now!
  21. 28.4C at 18.35 is just a bit warm for my liking, I would like it to start cooling off a bit more by now! Been sunny all day but a bit more cloud around now. This summer continues to be one of the best I can remember in my 24years here besides 2003, definitely one I'll remember for its prolonged warmth and regular number of days week after week reaching 28-30C. Some cooler days on the card around 24/25C for a few days this week though might feel a bit more comfortable!
  22. Had a beautiful day here, 29.2C with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze, pretty much a perfect summer's day!
  23. I think that would be direct sun temp? 29.2C currently here and feels wonderful! Though I can only enjoy this for a few days before it gets too much!
