Been a proper clear crisp winters morning, low of -1c, frosty and sunny with a thaw as temps rise. Still quietly optimistic for some decent snow tomorrow, especially as it'll be my first snow of the winter! Is it bad that I'm slightly excited, even though I know it could still go wrong for here?

Quite a few times I've seen models bring rain edge in along the far south coast and going a fair few miles inland from the coast at times, which being only 6-7miles inland I don't want! Is the warmer air really expected to reach us and spoil it down here at the end?

Be a shame if it does go north slightly as that would remove us on the south coast from the game as such compared to if it stayed south, fingers crossed it will stay south enough and go right for us for a change this winter

Still 3.6C - I think I have some kind of thermal hot spot under my location keeping it forever warm in winter and activating my snow shield I hope Thursday doesn't become a miss, I'll cry! Honestly think our chances are much better for Thursday than they were for today! But I may have just ruined it.

Wet and still 4C so not cold enough for snow here, but the taller hills behind me have gone white on the tops.

Im happier to see my forecast on Thursday on the meto has gone from rain, to rain and sleet, to now starting as sleet and then heavy snow and light snow in the night alongside their warning, just need that first bit of sleet to be snow and make it a all snow event

A grim 5.3c here with cold rain, would take quite a bit of cool down for any snow, so I'll take a drive up the bwlch after my interview this afternoon then my sights are on Thursday! Hopefully some surprise snow for some though!

3.7c and rain, not really expecting much today as temps rise with daytime, but looking forward to Thursday's potential!

So close, yet so far, just need the snow to be a few miles further south

8.3C here at the moment, a fair bit warmer than the 6c predicted as a high for today, doesn't give me great confidence for tomorrows temperatures being on the right side of marginal! How hard is it to get low daytime maxima here in mid winter, surely not too much to ask? Thursday looks interesting however!

I have an interview at 1.30pm tomorrow, after that once the rain/snow starts, if its rain by me I will take a drive up the bwlch as I didn't get chance to last time, will surely be snow up there! Im not liking the fact its still a balmy 7.4C here today though, I have a feeling it will be way too warm when the front initially comes in tomorrow for the lower areas!

If only it could have come at night, coming in when temps will be just that bit too warm along the far south I think for a full snow event, maybe back edge snow? Looks good for rest of wales/higher ground!

Meto still forecasting rain from 11am till 7pm for me tomorrow and rain Thursday, as are the BBC, one day they will forecast snow for me again! Are things looking better for us now even down far south?

Always rains in the far south and costal areas though haha we just never seem to have cold enough air and dps in place for us down here!

7.1C with constant rain/hail showers and some strong gusty winds, not a pleasant day out!

Forecast rain and 4c for here tomorrow, I'm feeling on a snowless winter at this rate hope tomorrow goes in our favour but expect rain for now and maybe a nice surprise when it comes.

Woke up thismorning to no snow sadly but its 0.4C and the whole street is like and ice rink, think sheet of ice from the speedy ice rain overnight

Started off as sleet but now snowing yaay Keeps going between icy rain/sleet and snow with a Temp of -0.9c going to be so icy tomorrow!

Going by netweather radar I look to go straight down the middle of it or there about, so fingers crossed it stays as snow over me! Ice rain will be a nightmare.

I'm hoping the change in wind direction will be enough to push those just coming inland in my direction we'll see

I need to buy a house in the mountains I can move between, living in lowland central southern Wales, is one of the hardest places to get snow

The steamer looks to be heading Newport way if it makes it over the mountains? No where near here sadly!

Temp down to 1.9c and dropping, just need some showers now but typically they are all gone maybe well get the odd lucky one crop up tonight round here? Will be an icy morning with after all the rain no doubt as temps continue to drop, even in my snow and cold resistant dome!
