  1. With temps back up to 27c today I got up at 5am to open the doors and windows to let the cooler air in, after a low of 16C last night. With the A/C on since I closed them managed to keep the longe hovering around 20C, the back of the house and upstairs 23C which I'm quite happy with.

  2. Shame we seem to have missed the storms this time round, winds just the wrong direction and suppose not enough land heating going on over the SW to produce any to being to us. Hopefully next time round it will fall right for us (and on my days off! 😂).

Looks like a hot few days this week now (im prepared with my new air con) and then possibly becoming more unsettled next week when I have a week off, typical lol.

  3. Warm and humid thismorning, some sun poking through the cloud. I remain hopeful of seeing something today but thinking that possibly not as storms would have to break out over SW England and come across the Bristol Channel, which I haven't seen a lot of forecast showing as most of it forms over the rest of England where its warmer. Still, remain hopeful for a Surprise or two!

  4. I think tomorrow/Monday will be better for us, in the South, can't see much happening down here today but if the clouds can build and break the cap soon the I'd think Mid/North Wales could see a few decent storms!

I do hope we get some though, really want a good thunderstorm that I can go down Barry island and watch, as I have no views in my little ditch lol.

I've just ordered myself a portable A/C unit, decided im not suffering in any heat and humidy this year like I have the last few years 😂

  5. Just seen BBC weather show temps for Cardiff could get up to 25C end of the week, meto forecast not showing that atm just low 20s. Still I am enjoying this weather, just wish the bugs and insects would stop colliding with my windscreen when driving, seems to be so many this year!

I do hope we don't get too much if a prolonged dry spell, my garden is clay and goes so hard my plants and young trees struggle.

  6. In the heavier showers the rain has turned sleety at times breifly. Winds back in my sheltered garden only gusting to around 20-25mph but 45mph in the rest of Barry going by other stations on Wunderground.

Rhoose where im working is blowing like mad, probably 50mph gusts I'd say, good job the trees don't have much in the way of leaves yet otherwise I'd think there'd be a few branches down.

  7. Still going good in Rhoose which im surprised at being its proximity to the coast. Still all snow, maybe some ice rain in there hard to tell.

Meto warning for tomorrow has been updated and now includes S/E wales and parts of S/W England so we could still be in with a chance tomorrow if the colder air can fight back more! 2-4cm possible on low levels and 5-10cm higher up.
