    Reached a very nice 23.3C here yesterday, slightly cooler today currently 21.3C and a bit muggy, looks like we might be about to get a shower too!

    Was just near the edge of the storm here with very heavy rain but just a few distant flashes and loud rumbles! Hope for some more this afternoon!

    Very heavy rain here and thunder is getting louder as the storm approaches from the south west!

    Got woken up to thunder and lightning this morning and still going off in the distance!

    19.4C here but quite breezy however not a bad day so far, sunny and dry! Will be interesting to see how things develop tomorrow with the storms!

    We had more thunder and lightning here last night, my housemates said most people were standing in the street watching it because it was so bright! alas of course I had somehow managed to sleep through this! Hope for some more today though, but also for those that missed out to get their share

    Yeah a storm just went past here, we were on the edge but very frequent thunder and lightning, with the rain and hail coming down in sheets! Was very nice to see!

    Got thunder, lightning rain and hail the works here! The rain and hail slightly larger than pea size was like a sheet of water and hail coming down at one point, like what you see in downburst kinda thing! Closest to a full on storm we've had all day! Hope for more over night!

    Had what seems like near constant distant rumbles all day, always goes just that bit too far north or south for us to enjoy anything here! Maybe later today or tonight we will get lucky! North West Wales have been super spoilt today though!

    Keep getting mostly just distant thunder here in Aberystwyth, no overhead storms so hoping that little one now near Brecon will continue to grow and hit Aber for my first proper storm of the day!

    More close thunder here but the storms seem to be going around us rather than over us

    Had just mainly distant thunder from that storm here in Aberystwyth right till the end just as it was saying good bye it gave a bright flash and what sounded like a small atom bomb going off for thunder!

    Just had my first distant rumble here and the heavens have opened!

    Waiting to see if that storm crossing central wales will hit aberystwyth and keep its electrical activity!

    Being a student in Aberystwyth on a day like today is just perfect, lush views and being by the sea when its warm and sunny is so nice! Must be about 20/21C here with a light breeze! Hope to catch a storm tomorrow!

    Dry, sunny and fairly warm start to the day, feeling quite pleasant out at 13.1C with a light breeze.

    Showers developing over us now the last one very heavy with large rain droplets! Also gave a flash and small rumble when it passed! Wonder if any decent storms will come over here though!

    Had a low of 1.9C last night so was chilly, been another beautiful day though with sunny skies and a fresh breeze, temp 12.8C.

    Finally got my weather station up after the move! Currently 13.9c with a light westerly breeze and 46% humidity!

    I wouldnt mind a summer like 2009 I think it was as we had some good thundery days and nights then and some decent warm stretches!

    Just expecting rain here though might get a surprise if its heavy enough I guess, been a very nice spring like day today! I hope for many more days like this!

    Is this when the west wales coast is expected to see the worst of the winds or has that passed/still to come?

    We have had trees down in Aberystwyth now, windows on the arts centre have smashed from the wind! I've been watching as bits of roofing material and small branches and plants have blown down the street whilst then seeing some slates on our roof start to crack and break off! Not what I want to be seeing!!
