    Had some distant rumbles as the storm came in and saw one small flash and slightly louder rumble, now its overhead its just heavy rain and seems to have died over me! Why does this always happen?

    I hope that mass over the Bristol Channel can make it to me and stay as a good storm! Just had a dark area go to my northeast/north and it looked like it is developing, may become a storm sometime soon for anyone north west of me!

    Enjoy!! didn't get a massive amout from it, only saw 2-3 flashes though the cloud hid the lightning itself, had some nice deep rumbles from it too though it has now passed to my northeast!

    Typical that just as it looks like im going to get a storm, it moves overhead and is just very heavy rain - storm shield seems to have kicked in again Edit: spoke to soon, just had a huge flash of lightning and crack of thunder

    Yeah they have been slowly, had about 5 rumbles now! Edit: just had a nice loud rumble, I think I might end up on its eastern edge!

    Had a distant rumble of thunder a while ago and then some heavy rain, but thats all we got today! I hope tomorrow will be better! Edit: Just had another short but deep rumble, although I don't know where it came from... actually just had another rumble and noticed its coming from a storm to the south thats going to go to the west of me by the look of it!

    After the moderate - heavy rain from thismorning the sun came out for a while, although now its mostly cloudy again and looks like there might be more rain on the way from the showers coming up from the south! Its not been that windy today, which is the opposite to what I expected! Temperature 17.9C Humidity 64% Pressure 992MB

    Thats nice to hear, as long as there is some, as even down here its not often I get over 4inches of snow in any one event! And if I get the chance I could always go to the nearby hills and mountains further inland

    Whats going on friday? Suppose to be a day with storm potential? Not a lot happened here today just some moderate, at times heavy rain and a light breeze! I can't wait until next month to move to Aberystwyth, get away to a new place and being right on the coast - although I won't like the fact it will hardly snow in winter unless its gets quite cold! Will be nice to be somewhere different as Bridgend is a rather boring place these days and its storm shields are make me depressed !!

    So far nothing unusual about this, just steady moderate rain and only a light wind, which is surpising as I expected it to be quite windy here today.. I think I must of missed all the heavy rain! Look like some showers forming behind the front now?

    Cloudy here, had some heavy rain a while ago but its stopped for now, don't think it will be too long before the main band of heavy rain is here although I doubt there will be much in the way of storms down here!

    There was a very nice display last night! After I turned my computer off because I thought it had gone from here it started off in the south west again, so although it was mainly distant thunder and lightning its the best I've seen since 2009, and even better because it was at night Good luck to everyone else today!

    Now that its got here, all has gone quiet and the activity seems to have died right down... storm shield kicking in maybe?

    Just had a very bright flash not far away and seconds later a some loud, deep thunder!

    Cheers, its not that bad actually im still getting some bright flashes from the distance and the occational deepish rumble of thunder, which is better than anything else i've had this year! Feel like an over-excited kid again

    I have a feeling that storm to my south will go just a bit too far west for me to get it :S Some loud rumbles now with a few brighter flashes!

    Well its getting closer! Just had a bright cg flash far to the south and about 30seconds later a short, deep rumble!

    Im not sure of its that stuff or not but im seeing flashes to my south over the channel!
