    Seems to be kicking off a bit around here now with strikes to my south and south west and just had a distant rumble of thunder, might finally get a storm Edit: Flashes every few seconds to my west! - it was until i posted this lol

    Just seen some more lightning to my south over the Bristol channel, wonder if this will make it to me!? Fingers crossed for something

    Just started raining here, though no more lightning seen in the distance!

    Though its been too far away for any thunder, its been nice to see my first proper lightning this year!

    Just seen some lightning over the Bristol Channel! Edit: Though I think it will miss me because the direction its going which is to the NW, so the activity needs to be more to my south east! Seen several to my south/south west now, activity seems to be increasing - if only it was coming towards me!

    There are some darkish clouds coming in slowly from the south, nice to see a couple of seferics over over SW England, hope we can manage a night time storm here!

    Currently 22.4C here with some high cloud around, muggy indoors so got the windows open trying to get some of the cooler breeze to cool the place down, not that its really working! Will be interesting to see if there are any storms around these parts tonight, I don't remember the last time I saw a night time storm!

    It peaked at 25.4C yesterday and was quite humid too, today however the cloud has limited the temps, currently 21.8C but not so humid which is nice! Still waiting to get a low below 11.0C for this month!

    David Attenborough said this in one of his documentaries, that we are currently still in an ice age but in a interglacial period, so surely even if we do have periods of ice free summers in the Arctic, over time this would return?

    I seem to be in a gap and I have a feeling it will stay that way with stroms going in every direction around me, but I hope im wrong! I can see a fair amount of convection over the Bristol channel though!

    I hope today I will have better luck than yesterday, it looks better for here so fingers crossed! Just need the storm shield to give in!

    Love how the heavy shower waits until its gone over my area before it gives any thunder or lightning... storm shield deffo in effect here!

    Just had a moderate shower here, fingers crossed for something thundery later though, I think any showers won't turn thundery until further north than me though

    Just seen an unexpected CG lightning strike and had 2 rumbles of thunder from a shower around 10miles to my east, shame its moving away from me! Didn't think we were to expecting anything at night?

    Warmest day of the year so far here with a high of 27.3C, currently still 23.4C and a bit humid too, lovely very warm week

    Had a high of 25.1C yesterday but today should be warmer, its already 24.6C so will be nice if today can beat my years high of 27.2C back in May!

    After a low of 17.0C overnight its currently mostly sunny with some high cloud and temp now 22.1C

    Glad I didn't miss much then! Had some of the heaviest showers I've seen in a very long time whilst in Antigua! It was great thanks, looks like I will get this week to top up the tan aswell, guess I brought the sun back with me then

    Just got back from Antigua where it was 32C and burning sunshine, it feels cold here compared to what i've been in the last 11days! Have I missed anything interesting?

    Im going to Gatwick tomorrow afternoon to stay the night to be at the airport early saturday morning, what are the chances of getting anything down there tomorrow evening?

    Friday would look good for my area seeming im going to be on my way to Gatwick for the night ready to fly away Saturday! Aha will be really gutted if I end up hearing of storms here whilst im away and probably won't get anything
