I know it is not even here yet, so much could and will change. However, to my untrained eyes next week is “looking” like pretty standard winter weather, cold yes, a bit of snow yes, not seeing any snowmeggeddon (yet). The hype around this spell has been extraordinary. February on the other hand is looking

Nothing further in Winchester, looks like we just missed the heavier stuff….

I think I'm ok to say that it is "proper snowing" now, lovely to see - the slightest of settling starting to appear on grass.

A few more flakes in the wind (a lot more than this morning), gone a bit darker so fingers crossed.......

Looks like it is turning bitterly cold but very dry for most, until at least the 13th/14th. I will take that given how awful it has been, might even see the sun next week!

No frost, a bit chilly, as expected for November, as usual this “cold snap” completely overblown by the MAD thread.

Not even the slightest of breezes here in Winchester.

Yep pretty confident now that it is going to be a wet slushy mix for us down here tomorrow, the search for lying snow continues!

Expecting nothing unfortunately, looking like a rain event for this part of the country with some possible sleety mix. Another opportunity on Saturday by the look of it. Hope I’m wrong!!

Some snow and ice causing travel disruption in places.
Issued: 10:15 (UTC) on Tue 13 Dec 2022
Intermittent, mostly light, snow across southwest England on Tuesday afternoon may become a little heavier and more widespread into Tuesday night, before clearing southwards on Wednesday. Near some coasts sleet is more likely, especially at first, but this brings an ice risk. Strong winds may cause drifting and poor visibility, especially over Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor where the snow is likely to be heavier. Here, 5 to 10 cm snowfall may accumulate above 200 metres. Towards the north and east of the warning area small amounts of snow, mostly no more than 1 cm, seem likely.
Regions and local authorities affected:
London & South East England
Hampshire
Isle of Wight
South West England
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole
Cornwall
Devon
Dorset
Plymouth
Somerset
Torbay
Somehow still manage to avoid the warning zone..........

In think there is a very good chance of that happening in the next 6 hrs or so as they become more certain of the velocity.
