  1. Not sure, I've know it to be cold and wet and even snow on the local mountains/hills other years.
  2. I've been in Southern Spain since New Year's eve, the weather has been more or less glorious, like a UK (real) spring. We have had frosty mornings but by midday it is lovely to sit out. There has been very little rain, Spain is really desparate for rain. As I write this it is 17.55 and we are still sat out in tee shirts. Is this the effect of global warming?
  3. We go through Madrid, usually snow on the mountains there then towards Bilbao up over the border into France, Bordeaux
  4. We're driving from Southern Spain and up through France, maybe I'll see some there (lve even got my woolly hat with me )
  5. According to Google and other 'sources' I see the UK braced for a monster dumping next Thurs/Fri, 2" an hour from a 750 mile wide weather system I'm back in the UK then, a bit of me is hoping
  6. I'm gutted you have had snow, though it is a given seeing as I am out of the country until 10th Feb. What are the chances of snow for Feb? I've been looking at the models but I'm not concentrating.
  7. Torrential rain in Poitiers this morning then blowing a hooley in Bilbao
  8. Sausage chips n beans washed down with a g&t here -0.6c and falling here 94% humidity
  9. -0.2c here this morning, warmer than yesterday, humidity is 95%. My patio surface was dry last night however this morning first thing I let my dogs out and they both fell over, the patio surface is like a sheet of black ice
  10. -1c here, feels like - 6c, still got patchy bits of snow on the pavements and it's well frozen, treacherous underfoot. Acquired a heated cushion today plugged it in and its nice and toasty now, might put my feet inside the cover
  11. In Mossley Hill today started about noon, icey rain and its progressed to hail with bits of snow, its made the grass white ish, kids are made up
  12. I've given in and put my heating on for an £our, I even had to use the tumble dryer for half an hour this afternoon. Brought the hot washing out and piled it on top of me for 10 minutes, toasty warm I don't thinks got much above 6c here today
  13. I've got a blank, for when it gets too cold
  14. and we're off again, torrential rain, gutters gurgling (so glad I had them all replaced) . Temperature has dropped bit of a breeze picked up
  15. 2 or 3 days in a row now for thunderstorms I'm well happy. Torrential downpour about 20 minutes ago, gutters couldn't cope, rain eased off but still lots of rumbles
  16. The lightening is still flashing away, it's like what we get in Spain. Rain has died off now
  17. It's here! North Liverpool 2 massive lightening flashes, not overhead yet, rain is chucking it down
