    Anyweather you know me too well Looking very chilly further ahead..theres no point in asking will it snow, where etc, yet. Lets just stick to one thing at a time, get the cold first, then the preciptation... I look forward to what the GFS and ECM 12zs say....in other words To Be Continued.....

    Seriously..why does everyone want a PROPER cold spell this early...I know you guys like and want a cold winter but you cant expect it to happen like that *clicks* Please, please can we lower the expectations first and then raise them as the time gets nearer......there is a ramping thread on here as well.... also about the uppers.. I will keep saying it...you don't need -5 uppers to get snow.....

    Right, lets take this objectively. If this did happen, then it's best to get COLD before any precipitation. That's focus on getting cold first. With regards to the 850's snow CAN fall at above -5. An example is November 2005. (I feel like I am in one of my many exams saying that!) C before S guys.

    I agree, I did make up a phrase "C before S" basically meaning Cold before Snow...and also it is how I remember the alphabet... PLENTY of potential....as always how long will it stay....will it snow...will there be frost... Let's wait and see and get the cold air here first

    At time of writing (5/11/12) longer range models are hinting at colder prospects towards the end of the month.....
