Plenty of Cu development here, and growing into quite large cells, but are also inhibited by a veil of Ci and Cs. Potential is there for something later on, especially if the higher cloud breaks. Muggy feeling kind of morning too, 15C currently with about 75% rel humidity
-
Nope just moderate rain. Looking at the sky before it started raining, I thought we were in for a storm.
Yes, that was my thought too. It has just started raining here, not heavy though. Appears to be some kind of convergence going on.
-
Its raining here in Scartho. Started about 10 minutes ago and still looking quite dark.
Hi Mattyk1985. Still nothing here. Any thunder with you?
-
Have been watching a band of showery rain that formed over west Lincolnshire earlier which has been slowly moving E and quite a bit of acrivity has formed on its northern edge whilst the southern part has decayed. As a result it is getting increasingly overcast here, and very threatening. So far no precipitation or thunder.
-
A drier, brighter day with no signs of any convective activity on the whole, but cloudy early this morning with a little showery rain. 10c at the moment and feeling quite pleasant
-
49mms so far here this month, and 115mms for the year to date. Not too bad considering the yearly average is about 530mms (21 inches)

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG Best storm of the last two years!!
HUGE bolts of lightning, Shotgun earthshakers, Fire alarms and smoke in the distance... Constant rumbles, WICKED
Is there a doctor in the house? Far too much excitement
(Although I must admit I was rather expecting to read the phrase "I don't believe it" bearing in mind the nickname )
Enjoy it whilse it lasts

Nothing much happening here. A short, sharp hail and rain shower at about 12:45 but nothing has happened since despite the sky appearing dark and threatening on occasions. Overall a different and rather poor set up in comparison with yesterday.
Edit: Just as a postscript to yesterday. I had to travel to Gainsborough to pick up my other 'arf. Left here at 3:20pm in a cloudburst but no thunder. Another downpour near Barnetby but thereafter skies cleared a little to leave a scene of anvils and cells surrounding me! Return home was largely uneventful with only a relatively light shower.

I bet the uk storm chase team (Lewis et al) are getting a good show as it looks like quite a few strikes detected around the Humber.
Wouldn't be at all suprised if they were to see a funnel cloud on their travels as conditions are right for those too. Overall it is certainly a lively day. Another cell is encoaching my area now and looks just as lively as the last one
-
Just had a rather lively cell pass over here is the last few minutes. Very heavy rain and hail accompanied by forked lighning and loud thunder. This has been brewing for the past couple of days, but conditions until now haven't been quite right.

If you would like the data from my part of the country, I will be happy to collect it for you
-
Still overcast, drizzly and misty here. 10C in a light SE wind
-
Dull, feature-less morning and rather misty with a little drizzle at times falling out of a total covering of Stratus. Temperature about 10C and a light Easterly wind.
-
North Sea murk!! Total covering of Stratus and patchy light drizzle. A 10mph NE'ly breeze making it feel raw. Temperature at about 10C although it feels alot colder
-
And.... nowt here again grrrrr. Mind you, I'm still listening out Lol!
Check you mailbox in the morning, Jane. I have just sent you your own personal thunderstorm
-
beginning to die down now, but it has got Hull well and truly on its calling card!!. The band of precipitation is about 100 miles long and 25 miles wide and doesn't show any signs of lessening as it moves ever more northwards. Not sure ifs all electrical though.
-
Fairly nasty storm just pushing through northwards, with some spectacular forked lightning and very loud thunder accompanied by very heavy rain and squally winds
-
Just had quite a heavy storm here with very loud thunder and accompanied by very heavy rain. Whilst the thunder can still be heard as the cell passes out to sea, the whole event only lasted about 10 minutes. Clearance now coming over from the west.
-
Reecnt heavy rain, no more than drizzle earlier but the skies remain overcast and threatening Wind has picked up and now westerly. Temp 17C
-
Overcast morning, and just starting to rain. Still warm and muggy. Temp 17C, wind southerly and light.
-
It's just started chucking it down at long last very heavy now
Well done
That dark cloud to my south is now heading seawards now, and missing me by about 15-20 miles. Could hear some very low, distant rumbles of thunder though.
-
Thundering now, but as always the rain somehow manages to miss this area.
Send some oevr here mate
Looks like I might miss out on both thunder and rain as it is still dry and some sunshine is appearing again. Very dark toward the S though.
-
Yep, its looking very tasty up there, and intensifying!
Gettiing rather more organised now from its rather scattered beginnings, and heading my way as long as the sea breeze doen't put a stop to things. Becoming more darker now here from the S and SW.
-
Still dry here with hazy sunshine, cloud only of Cirrus and Alto types (some Castellanus) but no convection. Radar clearly showing all the action to the SW of me, although how much of this is thundery isn't clear

Had a small storm here about an hour ago. Nothing more than a brief heavy shower and a couple of rumbles of thunder. Just started raining again as I am typing this.
