Emine is looking for UK chasing experiences, not the USA chases, this is a good chance for you to tell your story in a national newspaper :-)

Hi
TV production companies are on the lookout for footage from the recent storms, if you have any please let me know in this thread and I'll get you in touch with the right people, there may be payment and even a chane to be interviewed for a show as well, dependfing on the kind of footage you have.
Please don't take any risks trying to get video of the storms or huge waves, this is more a call for stuff you already have filmed, not a request for you to rush out and put yourself in harms way to catch a giant wave breaking over a sea wall.
Thanks
Ian

It's that time of year already - just 50 days until Christmas Day and that can only mean we unleash the new, improved Santa Shaker on an unsuspecting World.
Go on give him a shake while you read the Christmas forecast updates, and see what the snow risk is for your region on the 25th.

That's in mph, no knot conversion needed :-)
-
Hi, could you link to the map you mean about please? The GFS/NMM charts are in mph, and all temperatures are celsius, except if you select to view the actual forecasts themselves in fahrenheit.

It's worth checking your gutters and drains before the next bout of rain arrives

I like the change, very easy on the eye, the only thing I would changeIs the Netweather logo, it just seems a little dated to me, but that's just me.
But what about the cupboard full of branded mouse mats? Won't somebody think of the mouse mats?!?

Looks nice1 any news on apps??
Thanks Mike
Now the site is fully scalable, apps are the next thing. Although being mobile compatible means the whole site is effectively one big app now :-)

It's a big day here at Netweather, as the new version of the main site has just gone live! With all the same features as before, live radar, lightning detector, forecasts, charts, forum and all things weathery and some new toys too:
- [*]
No more zooming in and out, it's there ready to view as soon as you open a page. I particularly like the radar, perfect for nowcasting on the go.
Give it a go, let us know what you think and please spread the word - it's our 10th Birthday this year and without all the visitors to the site, people joining in the conversation here and providing feedback we'd never have got to where we are now - Thank you!

And so the tour ends - huge thanks to Gavin for the updates, pictures and videos in what has been a misfiring monsoon season - still some great highlights in there though!
-
-
Thanks Gavin, even with the storms not playing ball Arizona still delivers some stunning scenery and skyscapes.
-
Paul and the guests are gently snoozing away their jet lag (or not as the case may be...), the pristine Chevy Tahoe is parked outside the luxury accomodation (Ok it's a Best Western, but it has a pool, bar and Starbucks) and the weather prospects for the next few days are looking pretty good for a light show or two.
Hopefully we'll have some spectacular images to share over the next 10 days like this one from Lewis on last years Tour :
Good luck to Claire, Gavin and Michael, enjoy the ridiculous temperatures and stunning sights!

Sorry Jim, I'm actually in Galway at the moment due to my inability to remember dates. Have a grand BBQ, and an even grander hangover!
-
Perfect end to the season! Started and ended with a bang and every tour delivered, along with some very sobering and tragic circumstances too. A real rollercoaster ride this year.
-
Yep final days chasing today - good luck T5!
-
Cool, did you work out what drained the battery?
-
It looks like one of the servers was being temperamental, we are currently switching it off and back on again.
-
I've not seen anything odd at this end yet, but will have a look at the server logs.
-
That picture is definitely a keeper!
-
Sorry for the slow reply, I didn't spot you had responded, it might be easier to send an email via the 'contact us' links on the site so we can help you better.
Though your problem sounds a little odd as it uses the same scroll set up as the radar page, plus you can scroll the forecast left and right to see all the info.
Which phone, browser and operating system are you using?

You can find a 48 hour hi res NMM forecast here http://www.netweather.tv/secure/cgi-bin/premium.pl?action=nmmfc , and there is a link to the 16 day extra detail forecast and other options above it too.

Finally got some time to play with panoramic software and do some tweaking from this chase.

Nice work Tom, thank you!
