I'm supposed to be heading to the Cotswolds tomorrow to film the Winter Forecast video with GP - I can see this being one of those 'check the charts endlessly before I actually get in the car' trips. It's looking very grim, saturated ground and 70mph+ gusts normally lead to trees coming down - on top of the expected torrential rain. Potentially a very bad situation for any areas prone to flooding, or already under water.

Those big house spiders always appear at this time of year. It is however bad luck to kill them....
Especially for the spider...

, is there any chance that someone could put it to him to get a lapel mic? just finding it hard to hear him with my kids screaming in my ear..... then when they go to bed i am told to to turn it down coz the mrs can't hear her soaps!!! who'd be me eh?
That's sorted, I've added to the growing kit bag for our video presentations, so hopefully we can lose the room echo and make it all a bit clearer.

I'm not sure if this has been posted already, apologies if it's a duplicate - Rapiscan satellite animation from yesterday

I think we can safely say that any more of the doylem accusations and huge fonts being used will end up deleted...

Can we please try to stick to discussing the models? There are other threads better suited to general winter chat, thanks.

Hosts, mods and admins don't have warnings, I guess the forum software designers work on the principle that if you have to be warned you wouldn't be on the team. but for fun I am now going to try and warn Paul to see what happens

That's a good idea Karen. I think the main problem for us is that we don't have a nominated videographer to pin it all together. That said, we could have done a 4 hour video just on punctures over the last two years...

Some exciting news for next years Storm Chasing Tours, we have a great guest on Tour 2 - Kaddy Lee-Preston
]Kaddy's experience as a meteorologist and TV presenter, as well as her being an enthusiastic and knowledgeable extreme weather fan makes her the perfect guest for the WeatherHolidays Tours in 2013. As Kaddy said when we met - 'I have been in snow storms, dust storms, television presenter diva storms, but never seen a supercell or a tornado. Just seeing pictures of them gives me a burst of adrenalin and all I can say is; Bring it on weatherHOLIDAYS - Let's go Storm Chasing'
7 months and counting...!

There's still space left on Tour 2 at the moment, but we are filling up quite quickly now across all the dates, drop us an email or call the office and we'll answer any questions you might have about why chasing with the WeatherHolidays team from Netweather is the best choice for your trip of a lifetime.

Hi Gavin
I think Syed is saying that navigating to the video and playing it is difficult for the visually impaired,

A tour in a day!? Stunning stuff, it almost makes flying home from Portgual to frosty GB worthwhile

They arrived, after having to skirt huge storms around the area, a nice gentle rollercoaster ride in to land.

How do i add photos? I just want to show how im stuck between to nasty looking cells with a Cu going up right next to the one?
You can drop them directly into your post using the 'Attach Files' option on the full editor, or if you have them posted online already you can link to them using the tools in the menu (just below the font colour options).

Thanks to all who entered, obviously there are a lot of plane and car fans on here, and congratualtions to the winners who have been emailed their ticket details. It looks like its going to be changeable weather, but it will still be a great show.

If it's anything like last years trip, we can expect some stunning pics and videos. And we can also sit here smug in our mild temperatures while they roast in 40C+ out in the desert...

Any one got plans to head out on Sunday?
-
Please don't turn this into a 'Forecaster Discussion' page, and back to models please....
-
uh oh, but then again British style pubs don't encourage rowdy drinking sessions -
oh wait a minute...
-
Looks like this might be just the thing...
I wonder if they'll have any UK chases on there?
-
The NMM has pushed the main event southwards into the midlands, if you are thinking of going out chasing tomorrow please consider the fact that upto 70mm of rain is possible in places, it's not safe to be bombing around with one eye on the sky and 4 wheels aquaplaning - so keep safe if out and about for any reason.

On second thoughts, booking a hotel with on site cocktail lounge may have been a little dangerous, after the sinking of 80+ jager bombs in Denver...
