Just looked at the M25 south section..not far from biggin hill..looks to be a blizzard on the motorway

Its -1c here in little clacton..Essex.. and light rain is falling on frozen ground..Crazy weather . Very tricky about now and if its going to rain then that will wash the salt away on the roads...its a tricky decision time for highway staff, as when darkness falls the temp. is going to get lower...Snow would be better

Looking further ahead: even if it turns slightly milder for the xmas period, its looking even colder with n/ne winds again for new year. Has anybody else a comment on this:

hardly any here ( little clacton.Essex ) from last nights band, just a 5 min spell at 7.30 am this morning...Been full on sunshine today but not a thing has melted, and the local weather station 9(weely ) has reported that the temp. has not gone above freezing all day . At the moment its -2c. and looks to get down to a -5c by dawn..But the question is, will the next front reach us ,the BBC charts show rain here later 2mrw. Surly not with an ice block here..interesting ..??

AT 4 pm the front has just reached..Darlington N.E..Leeds will be hit about 7pm.

It looks to be getting wider , as it looks to be pushing in more from the east , it will be more interesting when it hits lincolnshire, which sould be about 9/10 pm tonight.....snow on !!!

Just got in and the car temp. was showing -2. But hardly any wind, the cloud cover looks white, but still dry. the roads have just been gritted. Where I live ( clacton on sea ) will see the first of any thing from the East as I am on the coast, think it will be sleety here but inland will be a different story, will we get a Eastly snow streamer later in the week. ??? ..we sit and wait, thats the good thing about the weather..we cant do anything about it..

Its been a dry quite day here today with little wind,so the wind chill has not been a problem. The radar shows there is something moving towards us from the Noth East. And at this time is very close, but the cloud seems to be keeping the temps. up..So I think there is only a 10% chance of this being snow. Any one further up the coast to say what they are getting ??

Hardly stopped raining here all day, (Clacton -on -sea. Essex ) one heavy shower after another, clouds look really heavy then move on to leave a clear spell, and then back they come again..The one thing that ahs changed is the temp. it has dropped 2c in the last hour and the wind has gone more to an easterly currently 4c..( feels like -2 in the wind ) ..14.00pm
