Need a good temp drop here in liverpool atm ots 3.3c and the dp is 0.7 ,i wish i was at home in chorley.

Left chorley at 07.00 it was -04 c arrived in liverpool 07.40 and it is 3.0c ,the night shift said it was frosty earley on but soon cleard .

Temp is -0.1 atm with dark clouds east and west of me , i can see winter hill from my window and it looks fantastic with its snow cap. Great pics Osbourne one nill

Looking at the radar the showers are getting quite organized now.

Light snow falling now and getting much darker.

I can see cloud building to my west now ,but not seeing it on the radar.

Good morning and a happy new year too all in the northwest .Very clear here atm with a hard frost over night . Looks like this mornings models want to continue the cold spell with a lot more snow ,last nights ecm seems to be forgotten about and everyone is happy.

When do we expect the wind to change to nly .

Morning and merry Christmas everyone,still got our snow hear temp is-3 c ATM .Its looking good for next week into the new year so if we loose the snow today or tomorrow fingers crossed it will be back next week.

Its been a few years since i last saw snow like this on the river mersey.Any one in chorley now what its like ther?.

Just been on the model thread and they are saying this cold spell looks like continuing for some time for us northwesters and northerners with some good snow falls any were up from the midlands i hope there wright ,i do remember the winters of the 70&80s and this one is shaping up to be a winter to remember with snow for the last 6 days and low temps fingers crossed we get some today so it can total days on the run.There does seem to be a thaw at the moment but only in the sun we still have icicles at the back of the house and lots of snow.

Lovely sun rise over rivington winter hill now but to my west there are big black clouds heading to-wards Preston.

Very cold and icy here and we still got our snow from yesterday,lets see what today brings.

What is peoples opinions on here about us keeping this cold spell or returning to the mild wet weather,I have been watching the model discussion but it seems no one on there can agree what is going to happen but i think it would be great if we could stay in this cold spell at least till after boxing day.

Still snowing lightly here and is topping up what we already have . Coming down heavy now with big flakes time to take the dogs out on the fields .

We have had about 1 inch of fresh snow and its falling as light snow on and off fingers crossed for a good fall today.

Heavy snow and wind its a near white out now.It will be a interesting drive to Liverpool for work tonight.
