    We had a heavy snow shower at mid day now temps are C it very Grey with Little wind . Looking to the north its a very black sky.

    still got -2c here was down to -6c when i was on my way home from work in Liverpool about two hours ago.

    Still snowing here looks like it is getting heavy.The roads look poor dont think we have had a gritter since last night.

    Have a nice thin covering this morning ,we had light snow on and off most of last night with a heavy shower around 22.00 ,still got some flurries coming down. fingers crossed for more of the same today.

    Started here dry and icy now the cloud has thickened up and the temperature is 2c .

    The gritters our out in force on the M6 and around chorley,its on its way.

    Any snow will be a bonus even good hard frosts will do ,but i have a feeling about this week and i think we will all get what we want.

    It still looks good for anywhere in the northwest over the weekend ,so i don't see anything to be negative about just enjoy it and stay safe and inform any elderly or at risk neighbors what might be about to happen.

    I remember snow in Liverpool in the late 70s early 8os and having to walk home because the busses had gone off iv also worked on the river Mersey for the last 23 years and can remember some fantastic snow events in fact it was in 20.00 or 2001 that Liverpool airport was closed due to snow and the planes icing up over the Christmas period .I now live near chorley and have not seen any good snow for the last five years but i have a good feeling about this week fingers crossed
