    Heavy rain clearing away now.. about 95% of the snow has gone... ah well, lets hope for some more in Januray:D Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all at Netweather :lol:

    Very heavy hail here:(no snow - at least it's sticking though lol I don't think I've ever seen so much hail sticking before

    There is a silver lining to all this dissapointment. Forecasting snow is difficult and although we're not getting a lot of the showers forecast yesterday, this also means that they could get the forecast wrong in the future when they say there won't be any snow

    There's been a lot of very cold weather in the East of the U.S recently, what are the chances of it coming our way?

    Precipitation stopped now Temp falling close to freezing - I think the fron has passed here

    Snow getting heavier here now :unsure: unfortunatly not sticking coz of all the slush

    I think this back edge thing/business really is true.... after snow showers all day here near Aberystwyth some rain arrived and the temp went right up to 3.5C. Recently the temp dropped very fast to about 1C and still falling and now its snowing. Slush is starting to re freeze.

    Just to let everyone know, there is a moderate to heavy snow shower crossing the Aberstwyth area at the moment, and it seems to be moving south eastwards. It's been snowing here for nearly 2 hours now A bit more sleety at sea level though.

    Snow flurries in Aberystwyth this afternoon :lol: though very light and didn't last long...
