I can't express how happy I am to see summery weather in summer. Went to the beach yesterday (and even went into the sea - yes it was cold
) and went cycling today. Perfect summer weather for summer activities, long may it continue please!-

Derek Brockway has just tweeted the stats in Wales for June. Very interesting, it was slightly cooler than normal, but drier and sunnier than normal.

Anyone reckon Wales will breach the 30C barrier next week?

So what are the temperatures going to reach here in wales on the weekend .
At the moment I would guess low 20s widely, maybe 25 in south. Possibly even warmer after the weekend if all goes to plan.

I'd take this year over last year by far. I guess it all depends on location. In the spring when we had that cold easterly for ages in March and April it was pretty sunny in the west. May seemed pretty normal, with a mixture of warm sunny days and wet miserable ones. So far June has been pretty ordinary as well, with a good start and what looks like a good end to come too.

True the nights will begin to shorten, but we won't notice it for another 3-4 weeks, July is a very light month, like May.

It's been a great weekend in Cardiff weatherwise, not too warm, not too cool, mostly sunny with a light cool breeze.

Yes what glorious weather we're having at the moment, really lifts up your spirits and it's great to see the days getting longer. Perfect weather for outdoor activities like walking, cycling and sorting out the garden. With regards to summer, all I really want is something a bit more average and something a bit less extreme.
