  1. If eastern parts of Wales are seeing snow, does that mean Shrewsbury will see snow???
  2. Are any of these flurries likely to blow over the border to Shrewsbury
  3. The BBC website has now reversed teir original thoughts for Shrewsbury. The forecast is now snow but the graphic overnight is rain in Shrewsbury but snow most other places. I really hope we aren't left out again. It's a case of waiting and hoping
  4. C'mon Rob, don't tease us this time, deliver us a great snowy foecast and be our saviour
  5. Think like this... Forecast rain/sleet and we get snow Forecast snow and we get rain I know which we'd all prefer. In an ideal world, they'd be spot on, but it's not
  6. Nothing is being forecast for here from theweatheroutlook. Absolutely nothing for Salop. Patience is the key, and luck and fortune
  7. But have they lost the plot? What is telling them it's rain not snow. Something must and I'm scared to jinx it before Sunday morning. Surely they are great experienced forecasters. I know theyve had long range forecastissue but surely not this bad? I'm totally confused
  8. I really hope the metoffice aren't right in regards to rain. Howveer, think logically. For mw in Shrewsbury, it says heavy rain as opposed to drizzle in Birmingham. Does that mean it could snow heavy in Shrewsbury and just light in Birmingham???
  9. The thing is, we know a band of cloud and potential precipitation is sinking south but it wont sleet/snow all the way across the band will it??? Some area's will miss, probably mine. It's been so up/down/up/down tonight, just wait for tomorrow
  10. Looking on the BBC website, it looks to have a slight gap towards the west.mid/welsh border, I dont see how it could be the rain they are forecasting. Is it???
  11. Genelle showed the snow skipping Shrewsbury totally and re-appearing further south. I'm totally confused as to precipitation, where, when, how much
  12. Metoffice are forecasting heavy rain for Shrewsbury on Saturday night at -5c, have they gone completely mad. Surely snow. What do you think???
  13. I'm going with -5/-6/-7 for Shrewsbury, it's already -3 and I'm not expecting it to cloud over. It certainly seems one of the coldest I can remember in recent times
  14. But what will win, the cold or warm. The million dollar question
  15. Could you post some links to the pages please
  16. How an the BBC put this, which is fab but then say I'm not having any snow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/10209 http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/22 Sat-Sun looks good with the and intensifying over Birmingham. Then the showers on Sunday and look at Tuesday. I hope this happens
  17. Are they correct though? Do the charts suggest something new? I'm not optmistic, but I'll keep hoping
  18. Why is it were are forecast near nothing in Shrewsbury then. I'm on the fence at the moment http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/today.asp?zipcode=Shrewsbury http://www.theweatheroutlook.com/twoforecasts/forregdaily.aspx?postcode=sy1&selected=0 http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/22 Are they playing cautious or is nothing going to materialise. I'll be watching Genelle on Midlands Today at 6:30 tonight. Perhaps they sacked Shefali after yesterdays forecast!!!
  19. I disagree, Telford regularly records more rainfall/more days of rainfall than Shrewsbury, and therefore, more snow. It works both ways
  20. Has anyone got any radar's/charts for the region for the weekend?
  21. Not looking great for Shrewsbury then. I hope we get some
  22. Is Telford better or worse than Shrewsbury for the Chesire Gap effect, they usually see more snow in general just 16 miles down the road
  23. What is Shrewsbury like for the Cheshire Gap effect. There is a severe weather warning out for the West Midlands for Sunday for 2-5cm. How is that severe???
  24. Saw about a dozen flakes in Shrewsbury yesterday but nothing atall. I want snow now!!! Is it coming to Shrewsbury???
