Genelle of Midlands Today had said a few showers could flirt with Shropshire/Staffordshire tomorrow morning but very little, if anything. Temp is -1 in Shrewsbury with a low of -5 overnight. However, the BBC and Metoffice says heavy rain for Saturday night. RAIN??? what about snow??? Is it going to snow people, is Shrewsbury gonna see any???

I'm from Shrewsbury but we usually miss rainfall. Does the Sunday/Monday setup suit me and it seems to keep being pushed away?

How is the situation unusual, whats happening please, how are we going to see snow because most of the forecasts aint giving us much

Have forecasters dropped a clanger. People in the SE are already saying they have 3-8cm, they wereinitially only forecast 5-10 and this isn't the main event. I'm so jealous

Francis Wilson has just indicated winds from the continent come Monday. I hope this will bring some precipitation up and as it hits the cold air over central England, it turns to snow. Who knows, it depends if the cold air can hack it in a battle

What are you Welsh folk thinking about the prosepects for E.Wales and Shrewsbury on the border over the next few days??? Thanks

I hope everything works out overnight for you E.Mid folk, you could have a good 2/3 inches if it works out. Me on the other hand...looking to the weekend and you never know, i could catch an odd shower and get a cm or 2

Francis Wilson isn't giving us Midlanders much hope for tonight and tomorrow. However, by Saturday, the winds will veer to the NW and will pull some precipitation down. He only mentioned London though which annoyed me as surely London will be the least effected. Showers will then flirt around the NW so they could get pushed down to us

Can people please state the locations rather than put 'here'

The BBC website says Shawbury has recorded -4c already. We just need the cast off showers from the SE to come our way

Those SE folks are all moaning that they're going to miss it all. Considering they usually get the best... I have no clue, it's changing every hour, I'm looking at the weekend but who knows. It's all tense

So, what are we saying/thinking about the weekend and Monday as this seems my only chance in Shrewsbury? Is it going to snow on sat/sun/mon or even up to Christmas

Now I like that forecast, virtually everywhere seeing snow by Sunday, oh, and then theirs Monday. Intense stuff this

-1.5 in Shrewsbury, clear skies to the West but cloudy skies to the north and east. Any precipitation will surely be snow. Shefali's forecast was strange and it seems to be that sat/sun are out best snow chances. Everything has been playing the snow down. Only yesterday late/today did they give a big warning for the snow in the SE that has materialised. Lets hope our chances can upgrade.

I never expect snow in Shrewsbury but do hope, really hope. This event is no different, fingers crossed for all midlanders

Just seen the bbc news reporter, the snow was lashing down in Norfolk, absolutely lashing down. We have to keep our fingers crossed, i'll have a temperature update soon

Sounds like Shrewsbury is the coldest place at the moment with -2, just no precipitation. You lot are lucky to have seen these very mini blizzards

Hi all Midlanders, new poster from Shrewsbury. We usually miss all the snow and this time doesn't look like being any different. What are we in for in the next 4 days??? I'm not technical but I'd say we've had a strange day. This morning wasn't massively cold but it's got colder as the day's gone on. We saw snowflakes at 3:30ish but it was literally half a dozen. Then at 4pm, it went really black over Telford way and it passed south and missed us entirly. The temperature is now -2 which is brilliant but is it going to snow??? Thanks all
