  1. i last raised something yesterday had my post deleted then wondered why i bothered i really did.
  2. i love the fact that the metoffice government based has crashed the severe weather warnings!!! sorry weather warnings are not currently available oh how funny please my sides are hurting from laughing. Let us all be thankful it is not a nowcast scenario!!!!!!
  3. not sure a stalling front wil go snow to rain if it has met the cold air and has stalled!!! ain't moving
  4. EVERYTIME i look at met office it says that it is loading severe weather warnings but does nothing gritters arent able to get out of the gritting depot due to the pile of snow in front of the depot!!!!! Purley hit by 15ft snow drift in one hour lol
  5. metoffice must be under severe traffic as nothing is loading lol. quote NO WARNINGS ON THEIR AT MOMENT SEE BELOW
  6. what do we expect the met offcie update to be. Last one 0229 this morning
  7. Hi Jackie I think you will find that there was a frost but it was slightly different. it was a penetrating frost. not an air frost. i touched the ground this morning and it was rock solid. Agreed no hoar frost but there most def was a frost
  8. there seems to be a pesky little low that has developed in the north sea which could get us a pasting here on friday
  9. looking interesting early judging by steves comments on the model watch/slasher watch :-)
  10. here it comes in sutton this looks a little better not massive but it is actually snowing
  11. very confusing here in sutton cold cloudy and a little bit misty confused where is the snow.....
  12. need some cold weather as another stinking dawn chorus from the birds again they are all over the place at the moment
  13. Well the fear factor and prozac is about to be unleashed. Surely we should wait for the next run to come out. As has been said before on this site and many times before. Model watching lurches from one to another. I feel that the cold weather is tantalising close and only needs to shift about a hundred miles or so and it game on
  14. That is quite a difference on the UKMO and GFS who will be the winner i wonder!!!
  15. I would state that the weeks leading up to Christmas ok not cold but boy i dont think i have ever seen a jet stream that powerful and into January it continued. The dart board lows that we received especially the one that seemed to last for about 12 hours last week exceptional. As someone said on another thread this is turning out to be a very strange winter. No autumn til December 75-80 degrees in October not quite right. I think there will be a massive sting in the tail and if the synoptic goes the way of the uk could be a sensational battle ground it really could. Keep faith people
  16. do we have a yamkin feeling for what is being looked at further down the line.... the outlook thread has gone mad 13 pages since last night something must be afoot if it reaches us in the south and east whom knows. Talking about early plants saw daffodills fully out in godalming on new years day !!!!
  17. Coast i agree with most of your comments however. Red warnings should have been put out. There was no warning that stated trees could collapse or roof tiles come off. Now as we all know for this to happen significant winds are needed and an red warning should have been out for the whole of the south east. When you wake in the morning to here the qe2 bridge is closed due to high winds, red warnings should have been issued
  18. i have just had a look and that is the most pathetic cone ever across north scotland and a stretch of england
  19. i have to admit the level of wind force was truly immense
  20. amazing in sutton wasn't it recovery stations now lol
  21. oh my word something has just smashed through sutton in surrey not sure if it was the squall line but omg biblical white out
