    becoming practically a clear still evening here in Essex now !

    oh my lovely TCu is no more seems to have collapsed on itself

    poseideon - one is due west of here (south Chelmsford) the other S-West they are looking not quite so well defined now - but still quite tall - I'd say 18k feet plus based on the Heathrow approach aircraft that come over here @ 12k feet or so

    poseidon - different story here - they're genuinely shooting up here atm - look to your south we've 2 very tall and narrow Cu now - quite unusually narrow - more what I've seen with convection in southern Europe

    all the mid-level instability is now beginning to bubble up now proper depth developing

    I give it an hour or two before it goes seriously bang in the S-East visibly looking good radar looking good

    nope - not yet poseidon - but its the start can now see the TCu over London from here (must be at least 40 miles away)

    beginning to see lots more mid-level instability here in Essex now - at last

    London is really waking up weather wise looking at latest plot lots of new storms developing

    wow the visible storm from here in Chelmsford must be that W/S/W London storm thats some visibility

    very large TCu visible to the WSW of here (Chelmsford) - nice to see as its completely blue sky everywhere else so sticks out just a bit

    I reckon - worst case if we don't get anything in the S-East tonight - I think there will be visible distant lightning lovely on a still hot summers evening

    suddenly feels very warm and humid out in the S-East now noticeably warmer than just a few hours ago

    looking at charts this lunch - would I be right in thinking end of next week looks not as hot as predicted as yesterday - and storm potential looks lower ? but end of this weekend conversely is looking more promising

    was looking forward to something in Essex - but its looking less likely now I guess -those cells in Suffolk seem to be decaying oh well

    on off heavy showers, thundery milky skies saying looking quite promising here in Essex atm

    at least next week looks interesting weather wise I mean models are showing it looking quite quiet ....thats a good sign as they're probably wrong - right ?
