along with grumbling ....
-
All IC here currently, Nick
Enough of it though
some C-G for sure Nick - but most C-C
constant grumbling to south atm !
-
-
ooh heading straight for us !
-
FANTASTIC lightning to the South of here
lazy winds
perfect

my son is staying up to hopefully see some lightning (he is 11)
his "sky" window is fantastic for lightning - third floor of the house, and 180 degree view
-
oooh looks like the South is waking up !!
-
Well, there's a clear ark of precipitation developing your way...but premature though unless the warm front is destabilising early.
Also of interest, not necessarily for the SE, the Channel storms moving due North. Most models envisaged either NNE or NE motion,
could that be of more interest to us though Harry - if some potent storms develop North-east France though ?
-
finally seeing some Cu to the south of here in Essex
nothing special - but shows at least something changing
-
- Essex Weather reporting heavy shower in Bishop's Stortford.
ah ok thanks - that would match
-
interesting returns north of Chelmsford
I'm guessing Anaprop as can't see anything remotely that would cause those returns
-
sky looks ... quite stable in Essex !
-
-
I'll echo what Harry said - humidity seems all over place
I've just come back from gym - and it now feels fresher than earlier (and no not because I'm hot and bothered from gym)
-
Skies looking proper promising in Essex now - off to charge camera !
-
Sky looking very promising in Essex lots of bubbling ACCAS
-
Well that's not so good for me - had kind of hoped anything would form south of me and move overhead...back to possibly being a breeding ground again.
More AcCas in the sky again over London including some developing jellyfish...evening jellyfish are usually good precursors to overnight storms (numerous occasions they have been spot on signalmen)image.jpg
interesting - no Jellyfish here in Essex !
-
^^ lol
my prediction for tonight - "thundery" mess of showers hitting the west coast and then heading up into spine of country
some tasty imports from France later -but most "Kent" clippers - I'm not convinced I'll see much except from a distance here in Essex
-
GFS looks strange to me
makes me think I'm too far west for any storms tonight - and I'm in Essex !
-
here they come - eyes on the sw off cornwall
I genuinely think you are looking wrong direction if you are looking to the stuff off Cornwall
I don't think thats where the decent storms will materialise from - those will pop up out of the blue later this evening and further east
IMO

Interesting, the Atlantic is showing something. Maybe this is going to be a west event.
prob just the generalised rain that was predicted off Cornwall for around this time
but its something at least
-
that map above seems either way off prediction or misleading
-
ah ok - got you
seems tomorrow will be a wait and see event anyway really
