i thinks its a case of we are all not getting the weather we want and its getting peoples backs up but there is no need to fall out with each other i thought this was meant to be a friendly forum and if we were getting the weather ie. snow and cold everone would be nice as pie with each other dont ya think?
I agree but sometimes some people should sit back and have a word with themselves about their childish behaviour.

Seriously considering quitting this forum now.
Every post I make just gets negative rep, I asked a question and got a load of negative rep just for no reason. It's obvious I am not wanted here. So you won't be seeing me around any more.
Last update:
0.3C under thick fog.
Bye.
It could be worse...you could be Ian Brown. Now that guy gets some negative points and doesn't moan as much as you. Seriously,if your gonna leave because someone has given you a negative rep then you might as well leave. WTF is wrong with you? I have enjoyed your rants in December but lately you turned into a right little old woman.
BTW,i haven't given you any negative points nor do i really care if i get any or not.

This bit on the Global Cooling&New Ice Age blog tickled me......
"On that note I am also not surprised after my expressions in my last post about the UK Met Office in Jan 2010, that they have actually since decided to scrap the seasonal forecasts."
Wow! That's a humungous ego there....
He/she is gonna look rather silly if this winter and the next is mild.
-
Good luck with the email
I'm new to all this really and still learning about the weather in general so we'll soon find out i suppose.
-
Yeah, Just that one person in particular is predicting a severe cold winter for the UK. That person has also emailed the Met and Joe B on his predictions for this and next years winter.
-
Hi all,

I've got to admit but this is Doh a dumb swear filter got the better of mee.

About 16:15 to 17:00
Cheers. The band seems alot wider as it moves north east possibly from the irish sea.
-
It will definitely be snow in Wirral and Liverpool.. coastal Wales is currently getting snow, this is Penmaenmawr on the A55 (or the coastal road as it is affectionately known) http://www.bbc.co.uk...oundabout.shtml
I hope so. Whats the ETA do you think?

Metcheck blown a fuse 25cm snow for me on Monday
C.S
Have you a link for this please
-
I really hope the 18z comes off, several chances for heavy snow in the next week or so at least for the southern half of the region. Mind you it only needs to change position say 100 miles or so and we could be dry or very wet!
Seriously,if that comes off i will eat my own balls.
-
Is it me or is this slow band gonna hit us?
-
Very tasty! In fact, I see plenty of opportunities for snow for northwest England over the weekend.
I've had some heavy snow this morning! North Manchester had quite a lot while south Manchester nothing!

Have you got a link for me to look at please.

IMBY= In My Back Yard
You might also see NIMBY which is Not In My Back Yard
Cheers, I originally thought it was In My Biased......but i didn't really know what the 'Y' stood for.
Cheers for clearing that up for me.
-
Hi,
Just wanted to know what IMBY means as its been bothering me.
BTW, i've enjoyed the posts on here (mainly the model output thread) especially as i'm a first time learner. But i find it hard to learn with some of the constant bickering like kids. I suggest that if you nothing nice to say about another fellow member(s) then simply don't bother posting as its irritating trying to trawl though all the posts to actual see what more experienced guys like yourselves make of the charts.
Although i have learnt alot so far this winter with the vast difference in charts, its been an incredible learning curve for me.
Also, what has the merseyside area chances of snow next week?
Cheers all.
-
Hi, all four of those weather types over the UK I should think!
Cheers for letting me know.
-
Hi all, just lurking and learning from you guys with some of your excellent posts.
Just a quick question, someone mentioned this chart http://www.wetterzen...s/Rtavn3001.png
what would this weather be like eg cold, snow, wet or windy etc.
Cheers
-
Its snowing lightly in Birkenhead.
-
Doubt it will happen mate, But i would love to be wrong ! I think we have probably seen the last of the snow in Merseyside
Yeah,i've said that also in a recent post today but the flow seem to move more westerly and this band seems stronger than the recent bands of earlier on today from the north east.
Probably wishful thinking though:p
-
Looking at http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=exp
at the 3 hour range possibly that band may hit merseyside some time early tomorrow morning.
-
To be honest regarding snow chances... the wirral won't get any more in my opinion. The event recently only happens in my neck of the woods not that often. The north easterly feed gets eaten up by the pennines and wasn't the recent event from a north westerly?
If i'm wrong then so be it but i can't see it happening.
-
If only one of these would hit us
